CREA’s Fall national ad campaign builds on success of “Welcome Home”

REALTORS® don’t just help Canadians find a house, they help them find a home.

Building on the success of its initial launch, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) launched an expanded version of the “Welcome Home” national ad campaign this fall.

As a pillar of CREA’s strategic plan, the national ad campaign uses a variety of digital and traditional media tactics to promote the value of using a REALTOR® when buying or selling property.

Initially launched in 2021, “Welcome Home” is a celebration of the sentiment surrounding a “home”— it’s not just four walls, but the place you’ll live out some of life’s most cherished moments. Consumers resonated with this emotion-driven messaging. “Welcome Home” has great recall, strong appeal, and impact – after seeing ads from the campaign, the majority of survey respondents said they’re more likely to use the services of a REALTOR®.

This year’s “Welcome Home” campaign continues to reiterate the message–a REALTOR® provides the knowledge, dedication, and expertise for clients looking for a home to fit their life stage, not just a house that’s well staged.

Both first-time and repeat home buyers are targeted with a multi-platform approach. In addition to television, digital video, social media, and digital display ads, out-of-home advertisements are a new tactic being used for this year’s campaign. “Welcome Home” is displayed on billboards, bus shelters, condo buildings, and more in Canada’s major markets.

All ads can be downloaded for social media and web use from Videos can also be found on CREA’s YouTube page, and REALTORS® can find posts highlighting the campaign on both CREA and social channels.
