Mary Johnson and Costa Poulopoulos, co-founders of StreetCity Realty, are hosting a charity gala in London, Ont. on May 23 to raise funds for Kindness Above Everything (KAE), a non-profit charity they created.
The KAE website says, “We are the charity that helps when there is a lack of funds left in budgets and a crisis happens. We are the charity that people reach out to when they hear of a family in need who have fallen through the cracks and need help putting their lives back together. Our charity has helped families get their kids into rehab in order to give them another chance at life when the funds were not available. We have also assisted single-income families when the working parent has not been able to make the monthly mortgage payment due to medical reasons, while they were receiving treatments.”
KAE has also supported other registered charities, including women’s shelters, youth centres and programs, after-school programs, Meals on Wheels and more.
The gala will take place in the restored building Design House London and will be spread across three floors. Each floor will feature a local craft brewery as well as a variety of local food. There will be live music and a DJ.
