Colliers International Group is partnering with Upsuite, a free online marketplace for coworking spaces.
Colliers says that many coworking operators have not found an efficient way to attract qualified teams to their locations, with many organizations reporting vacancy rates of greater than 40 per cent and average tenant turnover every 18 months. In a news release, the company says Upsuite’s technology platform drives speed, access and value for occupier clients prior to taking longer-term or larger workspaces.
“By utilizing Upsuite’s platform, inventory data and services, Colliers professionals can quickly and easily secure the best and most appropriate flexible workspaces in their respective markets for clients at competitive prices,” the company says. “This new partnership stems from the success of the Colliers Proptech Accelerator Powered by Techstars, a program born from the idea that advancements in technology and data can enable experts to deliver smarter, more personalized services that can help make a difference.”
Founded in Denver, the Upsuite team expanded operations to Toronto during the accelerator program and has plans for a multi-market North American rollout in 2019, the company says.
“We were honored to be a part of the accelerator’s Class of 2018 and are thrilled to be partnering with Colliers to provide added value and services to their clients and professionals,” says Ben Wright, founder and CEO of Upsuite. “This partnership is a testament to Colliers’ commitment to advancing proptech innovations, as well as their focus on providing best-in-class solutions in the real estate industry.”
“By targeting innovation through the resources of the proptech accelerator program, we are able to create solutions, shape technologies and find opportunities that will advance our business and the industry – our partnership with Upsuite being one of them,” says Gil Borok, Colliers COO, U.S. Operations.
