Mehdi Shokri joins Avison Young in Vancouver

Real estate investment sales specialist Mehdi Shokri has become a principal of Avison Young. Based in the firm’s Vancouver office, Shokri will continue to focus on the valuation and sale of income-producing assets and development land throughout Metro Vancouver. He will also facilitate national and international acquisitions, dispositions and development projects in conjunction with other Avison Young offices in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, the company says.

Shokri has nine years of commercial real estate experience. He was most recently a vice president with CBRE in Vancouver.

During his career, Shokri has sold more than $500 million worth of investment real estate assets and leased more than 750,000 square feet of office, retail and industrial space. His areas of expertise include acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, locating development and investment properties, and feasibility evaluations. He has been involved in numerous transactions with foreign and local private capital in the Metro Vancouver market through various ownership structures, including LLPs, proprietorships, corporations, joint-ventures and trusts.
