The Thunder Bay Basketeers and Royal LePage Lannon Realty have donated 126 baskets valued at over $30,000 to the Faye Peterson House and Beendigen women’s shelters in Thunder Bay, Ont.
This annual fundraiser, which has been in place since 2010, supports women rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic violence.
Coordinator Christine Lannon, a broker at Royal LePage Lannon Realty, and a team of dedicated volunteers spent countless hours collecting and organizing donations and building the baskets, which were distributed to women in advance of the holiday season.
These baskets, filled with essential items such as toiletries, clothing, and household supplies, offer comfort and support to those seeking safety and security.
Tasha Hyatt, a representative for Faye Peterson House, said, “We are grateful for the support of the Thunder Bay Basketeers and Royal LePage Lannon Realty.”
She adds, “These baskets make a real difference in the lives of the women and children we serve, and we are truly thankful for the generosity of the community of Thunder Bay and the Royal LePage Lannon Realty team.”
