Justin Havre & Associates, a local real estate team in Calgary, are giving back to the community through their annual fundraising initiative, “Giving Back with Gratitude.”
In 2022, the team raised nearly $225,000 for three partner charities in Calgary, including the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Legacy Place Society, and Calgary Children’s Foundation.
Since 2014, Justin Havre & Associates has raised almost $1 million for various charitable organizations in Calgary. This year the team also volunteered more than 180 hours of service to the Calgary Drop-In Centre to support the city’s unhoused population.
Justin Havre explains, “The need for permanent housing is more urgent than ever. Calgary’s unhoused and hungry population deserves care, compassion, and a sense of belonging.” By volunteering and donating meals to feed between 400-600 guests in need each month, Havre says his team is actively addressing the needs of a largely ignored segment of Calgary’s population.
In addition to their work with the Calgary Drop-In Centre, the team supported the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation through the Children’s Miracle Network. They also helped Calgary’s first responders overcome various challenges through Legacy Place Society and supported at-risk kids living below or on the poverty line through Calgary Children’s Foundation.
