Each year, the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors (CKAR) awards scholarships to graduates from the families of their members for post-secondary education.
The scholarship program is open to members of CKAR who have a child, stepchild, grandchild, niece, nephew or ward under legal guardianship who wish to apply and are accepted into an accredited college or university, community college or recognized technical or trade school at the time the award is issued.
2024 scholarship recipients
This year, the following recipients were each awarded a $500 scholarship to support their university studies in Ontario, presented by CKAR president, Carrie Patrick:
- Liam Cobb, whose grandfather is CKAR member Brian Peifer, will be attending Toronto Metropolitan University.
- Xavier Lemky, whose stepfather is CKAR member Chris Papple, will be attending Western University in London.
- Aiden Spafford, whose father is CKAR member Chris Spafford, will be attending McMaster University in Hamilton.
CKAR extends its congratulations to the recipients for their “hard-earned scholarships” and “wishes them the best of luck in their higher education endeavors.”
The 2025 application will be available in mid-June 2025.
