The official opening of the Coldwell Banker RMR Head Office in Whitby, Ont., delayed by the pandemic, was finally held in August. RMR has seven offices that serve three major markets in the GTA.
It took almost 20 years to get it in place, but the head office now has a 3×10-foot digital sign on its front lawn. Many years ago, owner Ralph Roberto was considering putting a digital sign on the parking lot of the Oshawa office. Because of red tape and assorted other roadblocks, it never happened.
Fast forward to 2022. Following a series of delays, pandemic and production problems, the sign was finally unveiled.
“It’s fully digital and offers an incredibly clear image,” says sales rep Shawn Lackie. “But no, they won’t be airing any sporting events on it. At least not yet. What they will be showing is weekly and monthly updates. New listings. Agent profiles. Agent of the month for each office. Top earners. Special events. Milestones. Holiday greetings and a whole bunch of other data. This is intended to highlight all the offices for RMR. Given that 30,000 cars pass the sign every day there is a great opportunity to advertise the brand and the agents. There will also be a preferred vendors category to highlight our partners.”
