Eamonn Murphy joins Avison Young in Toronto

Avison Young recently hired tenant advisory and enterprise solutions specialist Eamonn Murphy. Murphy becomes a principal of Avison Young and a member of the firm’s tenant advisory and enterprise solutions group with a mandate to help grow the firm’s service-line coverage across the Greater Toronto Area and nationally. Based in the firm’s downtown Toronto office, he will continue to specialize in leasing and enterprise solutions while serving new and existing clients.

Martin Dockrill, Avison Young principal and managing director of the company’s Ontario region, says in a news release: “Eamonn’s reputation as a professional within the GTA is impeccable and his breadth of experience serving clients’ needs across Canada will make him a valuable addition to our operations.”

Murphy brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Avison Young, most recently at JLL Canada where he was an executive vice-president in the firm’s Toronto operations. Prior to joining JLL, he was an office leasing specialist with Cushman & Wakefield (formally Royal LePage Commercial) in Toronto. In his previous roles, Murphy was consistently one of the top five performers in the Toronto offices and nationally, the company says. During his career, he has brokered leases covering more than 15 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space, and has worked with some of the country’s and world’s largest firms in the fields of accounting, financial services, legal services, engineering, investment services, technology and consumer products.

Murphy will work closely with Avison Young principal and office leasing practice leader Rob Armstrong. The two previously worked together at JLL and Cushman & Wakefield.
