The Furter Real Estate team, along with Royal LePage ProAlliance Realty, in Kingston, ON raised $3,500 – in just two hours – for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation at their inaugural fundraising dinner.

All proceeds went to local agency Kingston Interval House, which provides community-based counselling services, 24-hour emergency shelter, and second-stage housing to women, youth, and children who have experienced violence.

Much needed awareness and funds

Along with almost doubling their initial goal, Furter Real Estate raised needed awareness in the community – all thanks to client and community support, silent auction donations from local business owners, and Boston Pizza Kingston’s partnership.

Kingston Interval House’s fund development manager, Nikki Beaulieu, spoke to the 90 guests about how much the funds were needed and would help, particularly during this time of year. Beaulieu thanked everyone for their support, along with the Furter Real Estate team for organizing such a successful fundraiser.

Jane Furter, broker/team lead, shares: “Giving back and paying it forward is one of our team’s core values. We believe everyone has an obligation to support their community and that a home should be a safe place for everyone. We are truly passionate about our support of this important cause.”
