Glenn Sanford, founder, chairman, and CEO of eXp World Holdings, is set to return as eXp Realty’s CEO.
In a press release shared Tuesday, the company says Sanford is adding the second CEO title to his responsibilities in an effort to drive growth amid a challenging real estate market.
“We are laser-focused on driving exponential growth and innovation across eXp Realty and the industry,” Sanford said. “Our model was designed to withstand varying market conditions, and we continue to have the most agent-centric model in the industry.”
Jason Gesing, who previously served as CEO of eXp Realty, has been appointed chief industry relations officer of eXp World Holdings in an expanded role to facilitate the company’s growth across key sectors.
Gesing will focus on industry relations, metaverse advisory, and environment, social, governance initiatives, according to eXp.
He will also continue to serve on the board of directors of eXp World Holdings.
The company says the leadership swap is aimed at building the next generation as the company focuses on growth and innovation.
In addition to these leadership changes, eXp World Holdings made several executive appointments through 2022.
The company also acquired Zoocasa and launched several new service offerings, including agent-referral program Revenos, eXp Solutions, eXp Luxury, and eXp Referral Division.
In the third quarter of 2022, the cloud-based brokerage reported record revenue of $1.2 billion, despite increasingly challenging market conditions.
The company’s revenue increased 12 per cent compared to the same quarter the previous year, and gross profit increased 17 per cent to $93.1 million.
