A recent article in the Ontario Real Estate Association publication The Edge ends with: “To see a discussion among REALTORS® on this topic, visit the OREA LinkedIn group. (You must have or sign up for a LinkedIn account to access this.)”
Locking out any member who does not belong to LinkedIn is an anti-member issue and flies in the face of good decision-making.
We are all equal paying members and to set up something that is only accessible to people who belong to the LinkedIn group is not appropriate, in my opinion. I, for one, do not belong to LinkedIn, by choice, at this time, although I have been invited by a several people. I initially signed up, but didn’t like the “public-ness” of it at the time, so I never
followed up. Perhaps it has changed. I don’t know; never took another look.
If you are not a LinkedIn participant, will you be joining LinkedIn?
Smokin’ hot BAD thing perhaps? This biz is getting more outrageous everyday. For members to be locked out of their own system, and be forced to join LinkedIn in order to follow up on a topic is not right, in my opinion. Who made that decision? We have a right to know what goes on behind closed doors within our own structure, do we not, as dues paying members?
