London’s Stacey Evoy receives Ontario Realtors Care Foundation Fellowship

London and St. Thomas Association of Realtors (LSTAR) 2016 president Stacey Evoy was honoured for her outstanding volunteer service to the community and awarded the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation Fellowship at the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) 2017 Annual Conference in Toronto.

Members of the fellowship program are recognized for their passion and commitment to the real estate profession’s Quality of Life principles, enhancing local communities by supporting growth that fosters economic vitality, provides housing opportunities, respects the environment and builds good communities and safe neighbourhoods.

“I am very proud of the volunteer work Realtors do to make a difference and am very excited to receive this award,” says Evoy. “This recognition represents the collaborative efforts of so many Realtors who make contributions that truly strengthen our communities and make them better places to live, work and play.”

Evoy became a Realtor in 2003. She participates in a number of fundraising events throughout the year supporting various charities. Most recently, Evoy has sat on the Children’s Magical Ball Committee in support of Children’s Hospital Foundation. For many years, she co-chaired the annual Royal LePage Golf Tournament in support of Women’s Community House.

She is a champion for children and women’s issues, specifically breast cancer research and fundraising. She describes mentoring five- and six-year-old girls as a Spark Leader in Girl Guides as her most rewarding volunteer work.

Evoy has also chaired LSTAR’s annual Children’s Christmas Party and she chaired LSTAR’s Christmas Gala Committee over four consecutive years and raised more than $100,000 for various shelter based charities.
