Members of The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB) held their annual Election/Christmas Luncheon on #GivingTuesday recently. It was at this time last year that 2015 president Jeff Mahannah announced that he had chosen the Nanny Angel Network (NAN) as his President’s Charity.
NAN is the only organization of its kind in Canada to provide free in-home childcare support for mothers who have been diagnosed with cancer, for those requiring palliative care and for families requiring additional relief during the bereavement period.
In the last 12 months members of OMDREB threw their support behind the charity and on #GivingTuesday, they presented Audrey Guth, founder of NAN with a $40,000 contribution.
Incoming president Charlotte Forget has also chosen NAN as her charity of choice for 2016.
Through 2015 contributions to the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation, OMDREB also donated $5,000 each the Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children, Habitat for Humanity Halton Mississauga and Milton Transitional Housing. OMDREB members also contributed food and funds for Food4Kids North Halton.
