For the first time in the province’s history, the Government of Saskatchewan is proclaiming Nov. 14-20, 2022, as Realtors Week.
According to a press release from the Saskatchewan Realtors Association (SRA), real estate is the province’s second-largest sector by GDP; each home sale produces approximately $53,000 in additional spinoffs across multiple sectors.
“We thank the Government of Saskatchewan for recognizing Realtors Week and the importance of our profession to the Saskatchewan economy,” SRA Chairperson Avril Reifferscheid said in a press release.
“It’s quite significant when the provincial government acknowledges your profession and an entire week is dedicated to recognizing your good work,” added Chris Guérette, CEO of SRA.
Realtors Week in Saskatchewan now coincides with Realtors Care Week, the annual national campaign that encourages realtors to come together to support housing and shelter-related charities across Canada.
