Re/Max Quebec president and founder, Pierre Titley, died last Sunday, as announced by the company on Monday.
Titley is known for introducing the company to Quebec in 1981 and growing it. The company has a large presence there today, with a 44 per cent market share, it says. Re/Max in Quebec and Canada would not be where it is today without Titley.
Under Titley’s leadership, Re/Max Quebec launched exclusive programs like Tranquilli-T, which offers sellers protection, and legal assistance post-deed of sale signing. As well, the company became Opération Enfant Soleil’s key partner since its first telethon in 1987, contributing more than $29 million to support sick children, Re/Max Quebec reports.
Walter Schneider, president and co-founder of Re/Max Europe and formerly of Re/Max Integra, says he knew Pierre from day one as he launched Re/Max Quebec.
“Pierre was a dynamic personality and and Re/Max pioneer. His impact on the real estate industry in Quebec is legendary and its success today is a a result of the incredible network foundation he built in the 1980s. He changed the rules of the game and not only made the business better for the practitioners but also for the consumers who benefitted from the elevated service they received from his Re/Max network.”
Sylvain Dansereau, vice-president executive at Re/Max Quebec, expresses, “The departure of Mr. Titley is an immense loss for the Re/Max network, for the Quebec real estate industry and for the many causes he supported throughout his life. His entrepreneurial passion and deep humanism continue to be a source of inspiration for us all.”
“He will be missed and I thank him for the memories we shared,” adds Schneider.
