The Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) recently announced the winners of its annual Pursuit of Excellence awards. The awards go to those who have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of REIC and to the promotion and support of REIC goals and objectives. Individual members are also recognized and awarded for their personal achievements.
Chapter of the Year Award went to REIC/IREM Edmonton Chapter (large chapter) and REIC London Chapter (small chapter). The Most Improved Chapter of the Year Award was awarded to REIC Toronto Chapter (large chapter) and REIC London Chapter (small chapter). Toronto also won the Community Service Award.
The Morguard Literary Award went to Michael Appleton of Coldwell Banker Pinnacle Real Estate, Thornhill, Ont. The first installment of Appleton’s winning story is in this issue of REM.
Other individual winners included Tina Umphrey of Allied Properties in Toronto, Nathalie Gagnon, of O&Y Enterprise, Montreal, and Michael Cousins of Toronto.
The Corporate Citizen Award went to Gateway West Management Corp., in Vancouver, and the Real Estate Board/Association of the Year Award was awarded to the Toronto Real Estate Board.
