Richard Pochylko wins national Century 21 award

“Pay attention to detail, work harder than the next guy and always play to win.” That’s the philosophy of Richard Pochylko of Century 21 Advantage in Red Deer, Alta., winner of the peer-nominated Century 21 Canada Sales Associate of the Year award for 2015.

The award considers success around all aspects of a real estate career, including industry and community involvement and sales success.

“It’s my 18th year with Century 21. I was born and raised as part of the team here. I’m so grateful to my clients and office for their support,” says Pochylko. “I really appreciate the ‘hands on’ personal leadership style from head office. It motivates us all to do well.”

Pochylko was also recently voted Red Deer’s Best Realtor by his community in the Red Deer Express. He continually ranks in the top 75 Century 21 sales producers across the country. He has earned the company’s top sales awards every year since 2006 and has been inducted into the Century 21 Masters Hall of Fame.

A cancer survivor, Pochylko has raised more than $10,000 for research. He regularly gives both time and funds to his local food bank, The United Way, the Medicine River Wildlife refuge, local minor sports teams and anti-bullying campaigns, and he recently supported the Canadian Wall of Remembrance.

“It’s hard not to notice Richard. He’s an inspiration to all who overcome obstacles and use that as motivation to give back to their communities and clients,” says Brian Rushton, executive vice president, Century 21 Canada. “We all know him personally, so it was moving to present this award to him on stage at our national conference.”
