Three years after Right at Home Realty expanded outside of the Greater Toronto Area, the company was finally able to hold official office openings for its Barrie and Ottawa locations.
In the spring of 2019, Right at Home Realty acquired Your Choice Realty.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the branches were unable to host grand opening events. As a result of restrictions easing across the country, the events were finally staged this year.
The company says in 2021, the Barrie office was ranked as one of the top three offices for listings and sales combined in the Barrie region.
The branch is run by assistant manager, Robin Lepine and overseen by Barrie and Newmarket area manager Paulo Simoes. They have over 25 years of combined experience in real estate and sales.
Members of the company’s executive leadership in attendance at Barrie included John Lusink, president of Right at Home Realty and Julie Kee, broker of record and general manager, brokerage operations.
In Ottawa, in 2021 the new office was one of the top 10 performing offices in terms of listing and sales combined in the region, the company says. It’s run by branch manager Jim Norris, who has over 30 years of experience and knowledge in sales. With all of these years of sales experience, he decided to obtain his real estate license in 2001, and shortly after that in 2003 obtained his broker’s license. “With his passion for leadership and training, Jim would then go on to work in brokerage management and become an instructor at the Ontario Real Estate College in 2012,” the company says.
At the recent grand opening, in addition to Lusink and Kee, special guests included Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and the Ottawa Real Estate Board leadership Penny Torontow and Janice Myers.
