It took just three hours on Dec. 7 for the team at Royal LePage Performance Realty’s Bank Street office in Ottawa to raise $35,000 in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
The auction committee worked in advance of the office’s annual luncheon and fundraiser to obtain donations from local businesses for the silent and live auctions. More than 100 items were featured in the live auction alone. Valerie Brousseau stepped away from her usual role as manager of training and business development to fill in as auctioneer.
All of the funds raised will be directed to shelters in the Ottawa area serving women and children seeking shelter from domestic violence.
