Sea & Ski Realty raises more than $38,000 for Ont. hospital

Sea & Ski Realty in Markdale, Ont. recently presented a cheque worth more than $38,000 to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation. The money was raised at this summer’s 3rd annual Hospital Fundraising Golf Tournament. Karen Cox, owner and broker of record, said the day exceeded her expectations.

“Our goal was to raise $30,000, and we raised $38,229.65,” she says. “If we want a community hospital, we all need to support it, and we figured we could do our part by running the golf tournament.”

The Centre Grey Hospital helps numerous people throughout the area by providing 24-hour emergency care, acute hospital care, palliative care, diagnostic imaging, physiotherapy, and laboratory services. The Centre Grey Hospital Foundation relies on donations from the community to raise $1,000,000 each year to ensure the hospital has what it needs to function efficiently.

“A strong community hospital is only possible with community support, and we are so grateful for yours,” said Darlene Lamberti, foundation coordinator for the Centre Grey Health Services.

Next year’s tournament is scheduled for Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Highland Glen Golf Course.
