On April 19, the second annual Play for a Purpose Fundraiser was held at Nest Realty’s office in Chatham, Ontario.
Nest Realty Inc. and title sponsor Ashley Ewald, Mobile Mortgage Expert, RBC, hosted the event, and local real estate professionals from multiple Chatham-Kent brokerages, local mortgage professionals and local business owners attended.
$2,200 was raised for the Chatham-Kent Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a free book gifting program devoted to inspiring a love of reading in young children. All community-raised funds go to serving children in their community. Registered children received specially selected books personalized with their name, mailed to their home each month until their 5th birthday, at no cost to the child’s family.
Aside from raising funds for this cause, the event also fostered fellowship among the local real estate community. Teams participated in a variety of backyard BBQ-type games to win prizes, all donated by Chatham-Kent businesses and individuals.
