Victoria-based independent DFH Real Estate has positioned itself for future expansion by welcoming three new local partners. Peter Gaby, Mike Nugent and Kevin Sing, all long-standing Realtors with DFH, have joined the ownership group.
“DFH has grown significantly in the past few years and it was time to structure the firm to expand even further,” says Brian Sharp, owner and managing director. “It was extremely important to have the right people in place to help lead the firm as we move forward. Peter, Mike and Kevin are strong advocates of the DFH philosophy and are well respected within DFH and in the real estate community.”
Gaby, with DFH since 1997, has been the top seller in the Victoria Real Estate Board for units sold in each of the last four years. He is known primarily for marketing many of Victoria’s premier condominium and townhome projects.
Nugent credits the people of DFH and the company’s community involvement for its overall success. Sing had a career in marketing and communications before joining DFH in 1999. As a perennial top producer and MLS award winner, Sing also directs DFH’s corporate marketing program.
Sharp will continue to serve as managing director, and with manager Susan Dunn, will retain responsibility for all daily operations. Gaby, Nugent and Sing will take on administrative and planning roles as well as maintaining their active real estate businesses. DFH has four offices on Vancouver Island with more than 160 full-time Realtors. Originally known as Saanich Realty, Dominic Hanley changed the name to D.F. Hanley Agencies 48 years ago. The firm became known as DFH when Jack Clover and Brian Sharp bought the firm from Hanley in 1976. Sharp became the sole owner and managing director in 1997.
