TRREB donates $50,000 to Canadian Red Cross for the Alberta Fires Appeal

In response to the devastating fires in Alberta, the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) has pledged a donation of $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross. The contribution comes as part of the Realtors Care fundraising campaign initiated by CREA.
The fires in Alberta have resulted in the displacement of thousands of residents and have had a profound impact on numerous communities. The widespread fires have also led to poor air quality, further exacerbating the challenges faced by the affected population.
The donation made by TRREB to the Canadian Red Cross will be utilized to provide immediate and ongoing relief, recovery, and resilience efforts in response to the fires. The funds will also support community preparedness and risk reduction measures aimed at minimizing the impact of future all-hazard disaster events within Alberta.
Since 2008, TRREB members have participated in the “Every Realtor” campaign, contributing $1 per member per month. This sustained initiative has allowed organizations and charities to offer crucial resources to the most vulnerable members of society during times of crisis.
