A resource launched by digital marketing firm Search Engine People now makes the cost per click (CPC) of top real estate-sector keywords easily available for cities in North America, the company says. CPC refers to the actual price an advertiser pays for each click received by a prospective customer in an online campaign.
For example, the keyword “condos” in Montreal will cost the highest CPC for that keyword at $7.18 as compared to other cities in Canada. By comparison, in Welland, Ont. the CPC is the lowest in Canada at 22 cents, the company says.
New home developers, apartment rentals, Realtors and real estate agents are among the many keywords real estate sector professionals look to invest in through Google AdWords campaigns, hoping to draw the attention of potential buyers searching online for properties and services. Each one of those keywords has a cost associated to it that varies over the course of a month.
“Knowing what that cost will be is valuable information for a business trying to determine where it will get the biggest bang for its Google AdWords buck,” says Search Engine People CEO Jeff Quipp. “This research into keywords gives marketers unprecedented insights into many factors affecting paid search in each city. It will provide the ability to make informed and strategic decisions on AdWords spending without the investment of countless hours or a research team.”
