I am surprised that you did not include Quebec in this article. All candidates for real estate licences, and licence renewal or transfers between brokers in Quebec, must declare if they have been found guilty or declared themselves guilty of a criminal offence. They are also asked for a second declaration regarding the Brokerage Act. This declaration is then submitted to the Surté du Quebec (provincial police) and verified with a background check.

Depending on the case, a licence may be refused, or go before a committee of the ACAIQ (the licensing organization in Quebec).
