Your readers may have been misled by a brief comment in The LeBow Report in the January 2002 issue. Mr. Lebow suggested the Appraisal Institute of Canada took exception to his comments in an earlier article regarding the appraisal industry and the need for change.

Our industry, like many others, is facing a changing marketplace and must adapt. It is only through healthy self-examination that we can evolve change, and therefore an open exchange of ideas is welcome. We took no exception to his earlier comments.

Also, just to clarify, the OA-AIC has not taken legal action against Mr. Lebow nor, as far as we know, has Mr. Lebow against the OA-AIC.
