I think it’s ludicrous that any Realtor should complain about buyers having instant access to new listings. Listings are the name of the game, always have been and always will be.
After 15 years in this business, I understand it takes hard work and consistent prospecting to list houses for sale. There is no substitute for that, and those who cry about being wronged simply aren’t prepared to pay the price. If I have a buyer who sees a listing on mls.ca before I see it on our MLS and alert him, then I’m likely too busy and need to make changes to my business. I don’t recall anyone asking that the for sale sign not go up for a week so other Realtors could see the listing on MLS and call their buyers.
My advice for this group is stop complaining and start prospecting.
