Leo Pareja has been named CEO of AGNT, Inc., the parent company of eXp Realty, succeeding company founder Glenn Sanford, who will remain chairman of the board.
The appointment, announced Oct. 8, takes effect immediately. Pareja has served as CEO of eXp Realty since April 2024.
AGNT, formerly known as eXp World Holdings, is also the parent company of NextHome, FrameVR.io and SUCCESS Enterprises.
Sanford shifts to chairman role
Sanford founded the company in 2009 and has overseen its growth into an international real estate brokerage platform.
“After nearly two decades leading this company, I believe now is the right time to take the next step in our evolution,” Sanford said in a statement.
“Leo has earned this moment. He’s been instrumental in moving our model into the AI-native era, and I’ve seen firsthand his commitment to our agents, our people, and our shareholders.”
Randall Miles, vice-chairman of AGNT’s board, said the leadership change followed years of succession planning. The board voted unanimously to appoint Pareja.
Pareja to oversee next phase of growth
Pareja joined the company in 2022 and previously served as chief strategy officer and president of affiliated services.
As eXp Realty CEO, he helped launch Revenos and expand the company’s agent services. He also led AGNT’s acquisition of NextHome in May, marking its first expansion into franchising.
Pareja said his priorities include expanding the company’s technology offerings and supporting agents as artificial intelligence reshapes the industry.
“My focus now is making sure every agent on our platform has the tools, the technology, and the ownership stake to compete and win in an AI-native market,” he said.
Sanford will continue overseeing AGNT’s long-term strategic direction as board chairman.
