Renamed Coldwell Banker Community Real Estate launches in Hamilton

The brokerage formerly known as Coldwell Banker Pinnacle Real Estate in Hamilton, Ont. will now operate as Coldwell Banker Community Real Estate. The rebranding is part of a repositioning strategy designed to capitalize on new and emerging growth opportunities, the company says.

“This initiative signals a new direction for the company,” says Ron Hunter, president of the brokerage. “We are restructuring our entire operation and we have made significant investments in renovations and technology, including a new company website and SEO strategy, advanced technology upgrades, digital document storage and a suite of new marketing resources.”

He says the company has also implemented “an innovative compensation model that we believe will be instrumental in attracting prospective Realtors to our forward-focused operation.”

The launch meeting to announce the brokerage’s 2016 strategic plan and new identity was attended by Coldwell Banker Canada’s national leadership, including president Andy Puthon and director of affiliate services Scott Mills. The meeting was followed by a trade show with service providers fielding questions about a number of the new resources announced at the kick-off.

The brokerage has also made enhancements to its Dundurn office, while operations continue at the Mountain office. A grand opening celebration of the newly renovated and expanded Dundurn location is planned for February 2016.

The current leadership team will remain in place, now with new responsibilities following the re-organization. Ann Cosens, well known in the industry as a former CREA director and past president of the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB), remains as broker of record. Gary Herron, formerly branch manager, now takes on the role of director of recruiting and training/development. Herron is also a former president of RAHB.

“This repositioning and identity change, accompanied by his company’s significant investment in technology and resources, demonstrates Ron Hunter’s commitment to growth in the Greater Hamilton – Burlington market,” says Puthon.
