At Empty Bowls 2013 in Oakville, Ont. recently, participants chose a unique, hand-crafted pottery bowl, used it to sample delicious soups from an array of local chefs and then took the bowl home as a keepsake.  There was also a raffle of celebrity bowls autographed by actor Kevin Spacey and others.

Sutton Group – Quantum Realty broker of record Tina Gardin and several Realtors donated their time and talent to create the bowls.  They also helped to spread the word about Home Suite Hope (HSH), a non-profit organization that specializes in housing for low-income, single-parent families.  HSH provides long-term refuge (the average stay is nearly 24 months) so that parents can have the time necessary to stabilize their lives. Joanne Peters was the event co-chair with Tracy Kodama.
