Two Toronto real estate teams, DeClute Real Estate and Wright Sisters Real Estate, have created a strategic partnership under the newly formed Union Realty banner.
Both local, family-owned and operated businesses, the brokerages had combined sales reaching $400 million in 2016. Rick and Rochelle DeClute and Melanie and Lindsay Wright are the principals of the new company.
The two companies will continue to maintain their individual businesses under the new Union Realty umbrella. DeClute Real Estate and Wright Sisters Real Estate will keep building their brands separate from each other, while sharing combined resources. Each company will work out of their existing offices while they draw on their respective expertise and the resources of their two staging companies and independent marketing and advertising departments.
The company says that having two staging companies means they can offer “a much wider range of furnishings and accessories to help showcase (sellers’) homes, from a larger team of designers, movers and trucks.” Two marketing departments will enable the companies to offer twice the exposure and double the experience to position properties perfectly in the market, it says. “All the important aspects of effectively marketing a home have essentially been doubled to benefit clients and achieve the best results when selling their homes.”
“We have always had a great respect for the Wright Sisters and what they have accomplished in building their company and serving their clients,” says Rochelle DeClute. “Early on, we felt our companies had two very different operating philosophies but in getting to know Melanie and Lindsay over the years, we realized that there were many more similarities than differences, to the point where striking an alliance between us made more and more sense.”
