Engel & Völkers opens shop in Don Mills, Ont.

Anita Springate-Renaud has opened Engel & Völkers Toronto Don Mills. Springate-Renaud, who is fluent in German and French, will serve Don Mills and surrounding Toronto neighbourhoods including Leaside, The Bridle Path, York Mills and Donalda.

The brokerage opened its temporary location on June 1 in the Shops at Don Mills and will move to its newly renovated permanent location in the centre in mid-September. The office will serve both residential and commercial markets.

“Anita is a third-generation real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience who has firmly established herself as a leader in the market,” says Anthony Hitt, CEO of Engel & Völkers North America.

As Canada’s first planned community, Don Mills’ design makes the area attractive to both local and international buyers due to its close proximity to shops, services and easy access to highways and the downtown core, the company says. A greenbelt connects residential areas to parks, ravines, and trails around the Don Valley Parkway, including Sunnybrook Park and the scenic Edwards Gardens. Don Mills is home to many schools, private clubs, cultural centres and landmarks including the Aga Khan Museum, Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, The Ontario Science Centre, Granite Club, and Donalda Golf Club. The commercial/industrial sector of Don Mills serves as the head office for Tesla, IBM Canada Ltd., Global Television, the Toronto Real Estate Board, Wrigley Canada and many other prominent companies.

Engel & Völkers now has shops in Toronto, King City, Collingwood, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Mont Tremblant, Montreal, Markham and Ottawa. The company says it continues to expand throughout Canada “with planned openings in several new markets.”
