5 Fall marketing ideas for realtors

The changing seasons present many opportunities for realtors to market their services, strengthen their reputation in their communities, and connect with more potential clients.

Fall, in particular, is an optimal (and fun) season because there are so many ways you can get involved in your community and join in the festive spirit, all while promoting your services.

Here are five marketing ideas for realtors to use this fall that agents will find beneficial:

1. Get involved with community events.

Is there a farm in your area hosting any fall events? It shouldn’t be hard to find a corn maze or pumpkin patch this time of year. These community events are fun to attend and make for excellent marketing opportunities for realtors.

Consider sponsoring an event. It helps get your name out there by including it in marketing materials for the event.

Promote the event to your newsletter followers, letting them know you will be at the event to answer any real estate questions they may have.

2. Partner with a local business.

Fall is the perfect season to give back to your community and support other local businesses while also getting your name out there. Consider partnering with another business to hold a giveaway or contest. The prizes could range from gift cards to gift baskets and free services from the other business.

As a realtor, you can give away your expertise in a free consultation, a free home evaluation, or simply a gift basket with your business card attached. Promote the giveaway on your social media platforms for the furthest reach and enjoy the influx of new followers from cross-promoting with the other business.

3. Create Seasonal Content

You already know how important it is to provide value on your website and social media pages. Sharing your expertise helps people trust you, and it builds your credibility.

In the fall, create content that aligns with fall themes. Update your logo to use fall colours for these months.

Post blog content that targets your clients’ concerns this time of year. Some examples include your take on Halloween decorations when selling your home, improving curb appeal, and why sellers shouldn’t pass on selling during fall.

On your social media pages, post “this-or-that fall” home décor posts to your stories, ask your followers what scares them most about buying or selling, and share where local followers can find the best pumpkin pies.

4. Bring the fall festivities to your open houses.

Spice up your open houses by incorporating some fall fun. As a treat for attendees, offer pumpkin spice cookies (or pumpkin spice anything) for them to nibble on. Brew hot apple cider on the stove. Not only is this a yummy treat, but it will make the entire home smell amazing.

Consider holding a contest for guessing the exact number of candy corns in a jar. Have attendees leave their email addresses and their guesses on a piece of paper, and that evening when the tour is over, contact the winners. Make sure you also contact the losers to let them know and add them to your database.

5. Connect with your past clients.

The fall season is all about giving back and being grateful. Around Thanksgiving, prepare something special for your past clients. You want to reconnect with them, remind them of who you are, and make sure they know you are always there to help.

You could partner with a local bakery and drop off pumpkin pies or tarts with a handwritten card thanking them for working with you this year.

Don’t stop at just your previous clients, though. Take this opportunity to thank business owners in your area for being a part of the community. Let them know you would love to partner on a mutually beneficial event in the new year!
